November is COPD Awareness Month, and the West Virginia Pharmacists Association is partnering with the American Lung Association to spotlight how pharmacists can play a vital role in supporting individuals living with chronic lung diseases.

Join us for an informative webinar focused on practical ways pharmacists can engage, educate, and empower patients with COPD, asthma, and pulmonary fibrosis. Attendees will learn how to connect patients to the American Lung Association’s Lung Health Navigators—a free, accessible program offered by phone or Zoom, designed especially for individuals in rural communities or those with limited internet access.

Featured speaker Tiffany Quicke, RRT, a seasoned Respiratory Therapist and Lung Health Navigator, will share real-world examples of her one-on-one work with patients. She will highlight strategies for improving health literacy, facilitating medication teach-back, and strengthening self-management skills to help patients better navigate their lung health.

This session is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists to expand their impact on chronic disease management and to learn about a valuable resource that can directly support their patients.

Speaker Bios

Nicole Goldsboro
Director of Lung Disease Programs, American Lung Association
Nicole brings more than 13 years of experience in lung disease program development and education. She serves as a national content lead for COPD and pulmonary fibrosis, guiding evidence-based programs and resources that support patients and health professionals.

Tiffany Quicke, RRT, AE-C
Lung Health Navigator, American Lung Association
Tiffany is a Respiratory Therapist and Certified Asthma Educator with over 20 years of experience in Pulmonary Rehabilitation. As a Lung Health Navigator, she leads both the COPD and Pulmonary Fibrosis education programs, providing tailored, one-on-one support to help patients understand and manage their conditions.
